GSSEPrep is an independent educational platform offering a broad overview of medical specialties to aspiring surgeons. It does not aim to be a complete or exhaustive resource on all medical conditions. GSSEPrep is not accredited by any educational provider.
1.2 Course Relevance
The content on GSSEPrep provides general information on various medical conditions, but it is not exhaustive. Students are responsible for supplementing this information with their own research using multiple external resources. GSSEPrep does not guarantee that its content will comprehensively align with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) curriculum, including for the General Surgical Sciences Examination (see Section 4: Affiliations).
1.3 Accuracy
GSSEPrep strives to ensure all content is accurate and current; however, due to the evolving nature of medical literature, accuracy cannot be guaranteed. 5. Copyright and Intellectual Property
5.1 Use of Third-Party Content
Third-party content used on the platform is in accordance with Australian Copyright Law. Please contact us if you believe any copyright breach has occurred.
5.2 Written Course Content
All written materials on GSSEPrep are original and protected by copyright. Reproduction or distribution without permission is prohibited and subject to legal action.

Some images are sourced from royalty-free domains or used with permission, in accordance with Australian Copyright Law. Contact us if you believe there is a copyright issue.
5.4 Other Images and Media

5.5 Intellectual Property Ownership
All intellectual property, including the GSSEPrep brand, platform structure, lesson outlines, frameworks, and original illustrations, remains the exclusive property of GSSEPrep Pty Ltd. Purchase or access does not transfer ownership. GSSEPrep reserves the right to seek legal remedies for unauthorised use.
6. Memberships
6.1 6-Monthly Membership
A 6-month membership provides access to the purchased course content for six (6) months. Access is suspended upon expiry. Renewal requires payment of the current retail price.
6.2 Single Access
Membership access is restricted to one individual. Sharing login credentials is strictly prohibited. Legal action may be taken against all individuals involved in unauthorised access.
6.3 Money Back Guarantee and Consumer Law
A full refund is available within 24 hours of purchase, provided the user has accessed no more than five (5) lessons and/or five (5) practice exams. Refunds apply only to 6-month memberships with a legitimate cancellation reason. Users who exceed the defined access threshold are ineligible for a refund. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Privacy and Data Handling
7.1 Personal Details
User information is confidential and stored securely within the GSSEPrep administration portal. It will not be shared externally without consent.
7.2 Purchasing External Courses
If students purchase external courses via GSSEPrep, necessary personal details may be shared with the external provider for registration purposes (exception to 7.1).
7.3 Data Retention and Privacy Compliance
Personal information is retained for up to 24 months following account closure. GSSEPrep complies with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Users can request access or deletion of their data at any time.
7.4 Cookies and Analytics
GSSEPrep uses cookies and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel) to enhance user experience and measure website performance. By using the site, users consent to this data collection.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GSSEPrep and its directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for any loss, injury, claim, liability, or damage resulting from the use of course content, including any errors or omissions, reliance on content, or interruption of services. Users assume full responsibility for verifying any information before applying it in clinical or academic settings.
9. Payments and Subscriptions
9.1 Secure Payment Processing
All payments for courses and memberships are processed securely via trusted third-party payment processors. GSSEPrep does not store credit card information.
9.2 Subscription Terms
Subscriptions are billed as one-off payments unless otherwise stated. Auto-renewal options, if provided, will be clearly stated at checkout.
9.3 Pricing Changes
GSSEPrep reserves the right to change course pricing at any time. Pricing changes will not affect active subscriptions until renewal.
10. Acceptable Use
Users must not misuse the platform by introducing viruses, scraping content, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the GSSEPrep website or database. Breaches may result in suspension of access and potential legal action.
11. Termination of Access
GSSEPrep reserves the right to suspend or terminate a user’s account without refund in cases of fraud, unauthorised sharing, or breach of these Terms and Conditions.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from the use of GSSEPrep services shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.
13. Changes to These Terms
GSSEPrep reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
14. International Users
GSSEPrep is designed for users within Australia. International users are responsible for ensuring local compliance with educational and data protection laws in their jurisdiction.
